Dr Martin Scutt, podiatrist received his Bachelor in Science from Cornell University, Ithaca, N.Y. in 1992. Afterward he studied at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine to obtain his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree in 1996. He continued achieving skills in podiatric medicine by completing a residency in 1997 at Saint Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx, N.Y.
Having had a status as a dual citizen and his desire to satisfy the need for podiatrists in Canada, Martin moved to Quebec in 1997 and founded Clinique podiatrique Rive-Nord at Rosemere in 1998 and has been doing bone surgery there since 2010. Following his move to Canada, his accomplishments are:
- Clinical instructor at the University of Quebec at Trois-Rivieres podiatry clinic 2009 – 2016
- Professor of Internal Medicine at the University of Quebec at Trois-Rivieres 2010
- Student Mentor in his private clinic for the UQTR students 2009 – present
- Volunteer podiatrist for 60 km walk for Women’s Cancer, Montreal, Quebec 2009 - 2012
- Member of the Disciplinary Committee of the Quebec Order of Podiatrists 2010 – 2015
- Fellow of The Academy of Ambulatory Foot and Ankle Surgery 2017
Martin is proud to be now part of the Clinique podiatrique de l’Outaouais’s team in order to fulfill the growing need of foot surgery in the region. He has interest in foot surgery and enjoys sharpening his podiatry skills at American podiatry conferences on a yearly basis. He also enjoys rowing at competitions and travelling often to New York State to vacation and see friends and family.
